MAURIAT, world-renown musician left a pleasant impression in his
brief stay in Lima. A mature man, even with a boyish look, he
confessed himself a romantic by excellence. "Romantic music is
now preferred all over the world against the violence wave and
aggressivity of the new generation" he said... He's not without a
reason.
FEW KNOW that he started
professionally at 17 years old, forming his youth band, where he
performed in cabarets and "music halls". It was only in 1965,
where he started his famous professional orchestra, where he
developed his own style that marked, definitively, his
personality as a musician. Soon he will be seen in a TV special.
